The first plain-air workshop for Artists-Teachers took place during the spring holidays

More than 20 young teachers and experienced teachers from Minsk, Mogilev, Novogrudok, Nesvizh, Bobruisk, Lida, Vitebsk, Mozyr participated in it. Plain-air was being held from 27 to 29 of March in the Educational Center of Green Cross Belarus.

Members were united by love for landscape painting and sketches from nature. As three days have passed the artists have written a lot of works  and a lively discussion of the works was constantly taking place, experienced teachers and artists Petr SHATILO, Alexander LUBNEVSKY and Yegor BATALENOK gave advice and recommendations, conducted master classes, and at the final review deeply analyzed the creativity of each participant of the plain-air .

During the plain-air conversations and creative evenings took place. The report of Olga SUHONITSKAYA (Mozyr) and Yulia PUTILINA (Minsk) on the system of art teaching in the Check Republic on the basis of a teaching method of professor at Karlov University in Prague and the Prague Academy of photography and cinema Vera RAESELOVA caused an interest. The originality and   unlikeliness of the check model caused a major interest of all Artists-Teachers. The participants of the plain-air were listening to the story of Egor BATALIONOK on the history of development of Art College named after Akhremchik I.A.  and reflections on the ways of development of the world art .

By happy coincidence, the participants of the plain-air were able to have a look at materials from other art projects of Green Cross Belarus : during the plain-air children's exhibition of the International Contest of painting and graphics "In My Homeland " was arranged in the center and the new works registration  of the project " Dialogue of the Centuries : The First World War and Peace of Today " which were sent by students and teachers from Russia took place.

On the last day, a round table to discuss the prospects of development of a plain-air as an educational project , which aims at improving of the professional skills of artists and educators . Participants suggested a number of topics for discussion, one of them – peculiarities of staging of academic still life. The time of the next plain-air workshop for Artists –Teachers was fixed for autumn holiday in 2014.

The idea of ​​organizing a plain-air for teachers during school holidays was announced at the 5-th International Conference of Artists-Teachers "Modern art education of children and youth", held in February, 2014 . Idea was supported by the directors of art schools in Minsk , Vitebsk, Saligorsk and other cities.
