The project "In My Homeland" presents the works of young artists, animators and photographers

The winners of the three contests "In My Homeland" will receive their awards during the opening of the final exhibition of the 18th International Painting and Graphics Contest, which will be held on April 29, 2023 at the centre "Ecology and Health" of the Green Cross Belarus.

The contests organisers invite young artists, animators and photographers, as well as their teachers and parents to visit the place where experienced artists and teachers annually review and choose children's drawings, cartoons, and from this year also photos from around the world, and as a result, a miracle is born - the children's art exhibition!

This year the exhibition gathered 593 works of medalists and laureates. As usual, the jury had to make a difficult choice from more than 6 thousand works that were sent from 16 countries of the world.

– Children's drawings are distinguished by a special naive vision of beauty, – says Vladimir Shevtsov, director of the Green Cross Belarus, chairman of the organising committee of the contest "In My Homeland". – When you are among them, you get an extraordinary impulse of strength and joy of life, after which the world looks better, kinder and cleaner, you want to become better yourself and also create beauty. This is what we want to share with everyone: adults and children.

At the exhibition, young artists will be able to see their own works and the works of their peers, get to know each other not only through creativity, but also personally. In addition, it will be possible to watch cartoons and photos created by pupils of various schools and studios.

On this day, there will also be an award ceremony for the winners of art, cartoon and photography contests. In order for young visitors not to get bored, the organisers will also offer excursions around the centre, art and nature studies workshops, communication with the inhabitants of the local mini-farm, visiting exhibitions telling about the protected areas and water resources of Belarus.

The program starts at 11.00.
