Conditions of the 1st International photography contest within the framework of "In My Homeland" project

Green Cross Belarus in association with Art Teachers' Union announces the 1st INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST within the framework of IN MY HOMELAND project

Theme: Construction and Builders

Minor and major construction projects: houses, roads, parks, urban and rural structures, or even short-lived structures (sand/ice/snow castles, etc.) created by children or with their involvement. Any construction projects and builders, anything associated with the process of creating something new.

The applications are to be submitted in the following nominations:

GRAPHICS, LANDSCAPE, PORTRAIT, STILL LIFE, STREET PHOTO, BLACK-AND-WHITE PHOTO, MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Applicants should be between 10 and 18 years of age.
  2. The image should be entirely the applicant's work.
  3. One author can submit to the contest NOT MORE THAN THREE photographs IN EACH NOMINATION, i.e. no more than three landscapes, three still lifes, three macro photographs, etc.
  4. Minimal image resolution should be no less than 2,000 dots along the shorter side.
  5. File format: jpg, jpeg
  6. No additional inscriptions or water marks are allowed in the image.

APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY FROM OCTOBER 1, 2022 THROUGH JANUARY 15, 2023.

The works are sent to the competition through special free file-sharing services (for example: drive.google.com, cloud.mail.ru, disk.yandex.ru). The link is indicated in the registration form.
In the file name you must specify:
  • name of the nomination
  • surname of the author
  • # of work
  • work title / original file name.

For example, "landscape Ivanov 1 autumn morning.jpg" or "landscape Ivanov 2 DSC-342.jpg "

FINAL STAGE:

The jury will consider all applications in February 2023 and name winners / diploma recipients in all nominations.

The awarded works will be used to compile an exhibition, which will be opened in April 2023.

In addition, the awarded works will be available for online viewing at www.children-art.org, the official website of IN MY HOMELAND project.

The applicants whose works will be selected for the exhibition will be asked to send a paper version of their images or if they so choose, to let the contest organizers print them.

Works submitted for the Contest are not reviewed. Paper versions of winning images WILL NOT be returned to their authors. The contest organizers reserve the right to use the originals and copies of the images (both paper and electronic versions) to popularize and promote the contest as well as for their educational and charitable activities without asking for the author's consent or paying the author's fee.
