IX Interetno Festival (Serbia)

The Hungarian Culture Center “Népkör” in Subotica announces competitions for children to create EX LIBRIS artworks as an accompanying program of IX Interetno Festival.

The term of works submission - until May 31, 2011.

The organizers expect works of children of three age groups:

• up to 10 years of age
• between 11-14 of age
• 15-19 year of age

The works of art have to deal with the topic of the competition: CHERISHING FOLK TRADITIONS (traditional customs, professions, folklore, traditional costumes, motifs and their use.etc)

Graphic work in addition to the images should contain words "EX LIBRIS" and "IX INTERETNO".

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION:

1/ On the backside of the artwork the applicant must write his/her full name, age, the name of organization, the mentors name, postal address, phone or email.
2/ The size of the artworks cannot be larger than 15x15 cm. 
3/ The organizers will only accept artwork made with traditional relief printing and gravure (lino-cut, copper engraving, woodcut, lithography, colographi, sieve pressure). 
4/ The organizers will reward the best artworks wit honorary diplomas and other prizes. The will reward the best collections and best pedagogic work. 
5/ The authors of the exhibited work will get a diploma and a catalogue. 
6/ The works sent in will in the organizer’s possession. 
7/ Sending their works, the participants accent the requirements of the application. 
8/ Submission deadline is : May 31,2011. The jury will make its decision until June 20, 2011 and will inform the participants. 
9/ The date of the exhibition and of the prize distribution: August 20, 2011.
