The 8th Intenational Arts Competition for Children «Oh, Sport! You are the World!»(Bryansk, Russia)

The competition is dedicated to the Olympic Games «Sochi 2014». The purpose of the competition is to make children’s acquaintance with the history of the Olympic movement, with the works of art devoted to sports, achievements of modern Olympians.
General terms: March – April, 2013, Bryansk (Russia). Competition is spent in the following nominations: Easel composition Decorative and applied composition Sculpture Graphics Free genre (computer graphics, video, photo, animation and so forth)
Competitive works should be sent to the address of the organizing committee not later on March, 1st, 2013 (on postmark). The competition is opened for all young artists till 19 years inclusive. The official language of the competition is Russian. Children's art works will be considered by the jury of the festival separately in each nomination on three age categories: up to 9 years, inclusive; from 10 to 14 years; from 15 to 19 years, inclusive. Competitive selection on each nomination will be conducted in two stages. The first stage: March , 1st – March, 15th, 2013. The exhibition committee created by the organizers of the competition will select the art works on the second stage of the competition.
The second stage: April, 2013. Final exhibition. The exposition of the final exhibition of the festival will be made of the children’s art works passed on the second stage of the competition. The winners of the competition will be selected by the jury of the competition consisting of the representatives of the educational institutions.
The order of winners’ rewarding: For winners of the competition on each nomination the following awards are established: The diploma of the winner, valuable prize (on each age group) The diploma of 1 degree, valuable prize (on each age group)
The authors of the most interesting art works in each nomination and age group, and also schools, studios and other organizations which have given the most interesting collections of works will be marked by Special diplomas and prizes.
The booklet and the exhibition catalogue (the electronic version on CD), diplomas and prizes will be sent to all the winners of the competition.
Special terms: Competitive works are not reviewed. The organizers of the competition do not come back the competitive works. The organizers of the exhibition reserve the right to themselves for the publication of some works in the advertising purposes with the instruction of the author, but without the payment of the fee.
Representation of works: On the reverse side of each work the following information in Russian or English language should be written: 1. A surname, a name, a patronymic (if applicable) of the participant 2. Age and date of a birth 3. The name of work. 4. A surname, a name, a patronymic (if applicable) of the teacher 5. The post address, phone or an e-mail address.
Collectives also have to present the general list of works participating in the competition.
The note: If competitive work was carried out on the occupations in creative studios, schools or other educational institutions on the reverse side of the art work the full name of the teacher both the exact name, and the address of the organization should be indicated. All inscriptions should be made in print.
In the nomination «Easel composition» the author’s works in any picturesque or graphic techniques with the maximal size no more than 50×70 centimeters (without registration) are accepted.
In the nomination «Decorative and applied composition» the works executed in any techniques without restriction of the size are accepted. In the nomination «Sculpture» the works executed in any techniques and materials without restriction of the size are accepted. In the nomination «Graphics» the works in any graphic techniques with the maximal size no more than 50×70 centimeters (without registration) are accepted.
«Free genre» works are represented to nominations in the original authors’ design. In cases when the work executed in this genre, is intended for reproduction on a computer or by means of the video equipment or demands other, distinct from standard conditions of exhibiting, it is necessary to inform about it the organizers of the competition in the covering letter.
